In the summer of 2025, our family seemed to be complete. Mom, Dad, Son, Daughter, a happy dog, a chill cat, hamster, lizard, fish…and a partridge and a pear tree. But there was just something missing that we couldn’t quite put our finger on. So, one day, we found ourselves at BRAWA in - of all places - the puppy section. Our eyes landed on a small, 8 week old Rottweiler mix. He was black as night with two brown eyebrows. The way he sat so comfortably and calmly on our daughter’s lap amazed us. We instantly felt a connection. The next day, that little puppy came home with us. We named him Rufus. We’ve never looked back. The way Rufus has been the missing piece to our family puzzle is incredible. His personality is silly and fun. He loves to play chase and fetch. He adores our older dog, Charlie. He cuddles with us on the couch, he trots by our side on a walk, and he is very talkative when he feels as though his needs are not being met! Without Rufus, there would be a lot less laughter and joy in our home. Thank you BRAWA for bringing us together!
