Release of Liability I recognize that working with animals places me at risk of personal injury and property damage. I agree to assume the risk of personal injury and property damage and agree to release and hold the Barren River Animal Welfare Association (BRAWA), its officers, directors, employees, contractors, agents and assigns harmless from any and all liability, claims, demands, damages (including reasonable legal fees and costs) and/or causes of action of any kind that I may sustain in any way associated with BRAWA and/or any BRAWA sponsored or related event or program and whether onsite or offsite of BRAWA’s property. I agree to access my personal health insurance or self pay for any incidents resulting in the need to seek medical treatment. I acknowledge that I participate freely and of my own volition and understand the risks associated with my participation, as it may involve animals both known and unknown to me. I assume responsibility for my own conduct and behavior and any injuries and damages associated in any way with my work at or for BRAWA. This release shall survive the termination of my work in any capacity at BRAWA. Understanding and Acceptance of Volunteer Guidelines I have read, understand and agree to the volunteer guidelines set forth in the BRAWA volunteer manual. I fully understand and agree that I am providing my services in a volunteer capacity without any expressed or implied promise of compensation or benefit of any kind. I agree to perform my volunteer duties to the best of my ability and to adhere to the guidelines detailed in the volunteer manual. I further understand that my volunteer involvement may be terminated without cause and without prior notice. Photo Release During my volunteer time with BRAWA, I understand that my photo may be taken at various events and projects. By signing below I hereby grant BRAWA permission to use my likeness in photographs and/or videos in any and all of its publications, promotional material, fundraising efforts or on the web, whether now known or hereafter existing. I will make no monetary or other claim against BRAWA for the use of the photos and/or videos. Confidentiality In my association with BRAWA, I understand that I may be subject to information about animals, customers, employees, other volunteers and the organization in general which may be considered confidential. I understand that I must adhere to all BRAWA procedures and that I have an ethical obligation and agree not to disclose any information which is confidential. I understand that this confidentiality agreement survives my volunteer assignment and that if I violate BRAWA’s confidentiality rules, I may be subject to immediate suspension of all volunteer assignments.
